October 23, 2020 - Nose: Gorgeous perfumed nose of red cherry, red plum, cuban cigar, deep earth and truffle. Palate: Medium bodied, elegant red cherry, jammy plum and an absolutely 3D Cigar note that explodes in the center of the palate. Bits of Cos spice underneath.. Finish: shorter than expected, but cigar, earth, truffle and red fruit linger.

This bottle was perfectly Cos in expression with beautiful red fruited merlot that is supported by the structure of classic cabernet and all of the earth tones i love in Cos. Clearly the best bottle of this I have ever had, and inline with the higher CT scores you see. 95+

August 22, 2020 - This wine had a deep red center and orange/tan rims. The medium intensity nose was mostly focused on cigar & sous bois. As the wine aired, it firmed up a bit and gained fruit to show black cherry, Cuban cigar, sous bois, and figs.

In the mouth, this wine was rather narrow but attractive. After 3 hours the texture and breadth of the wine improved dramatically. It had nice richness, great balance, light rounded tannin, and very good length.

This wine had some clay soil and tobacco notes that were a little less classy than some other Medocs. However, the mouthfeel was awesome. This bottle was clearly fully mature and I see no reason to wait.

August 15, 2020 - Absolutely beautiful Bordeaux! This is firing on all cylinders. Perfect balance, elegance, finesse. The only area it lacks in is concentration and power. Decanted for 40 minutes. Tannins are perfectly integrated. Nose is seemingly young and budding; red currants tobacco leather dried forrest leaves on the body with a beautiful long finish.

August 9, 2020 - Silky with hints of tobacco. Surprisingly approachable with less than 30 minutes air time. Our last '82. My only regret is that we only had one bottle.
There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like black pepper and forest floor. The body is full. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.
