Mushrooms, balsamic and tertiary notes, silky texture, but still enough freshness and balance to make it enjoyable.

May 14, 2021 - Thursday Throwdown (Empire State South): Crazy and complex aromatics. Green pepper, mint, dark fruit. Kept coming on in waves in the glass. Very complex, plum, tobacco, earthy. Such an interesting wine that does not really show its age. 650ml. Ha!
May 13, 2021 - Still youthful, dank herbs and soil, shape shifting, really intriguing and unique and held its own alongside some stellar Bordeaux and burgundy.
May 8, 2021 - amazing youthfull appearance, vibrant red fading to an orange rim. Raisin, tart cherries, cedary, tobacco, hint of cola. Such a complex nose and palet. Amazing texture and vigour, long refreshing finish. Remarkble this wine is still developing and not at it's peak.

Nose is clean, medium, intense aromas of crowberries, seaweed, sweet tobacco, pecan nuts, oregano, earthy aromas, dark plums, very complex, developing
Palate is dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (11%), body and flavour intensity, high dry-extract and aromas of crowberries, dark plums, sweet tobacco, seaweed, mushrooms(umami), earthy notes, blueberries, stable, hay, very mineralic, copper that makes aroma almost similar to blood, long finish.
Very well balanced, long finish, not that intense, but has a very deep complexity and high concentration. Drink now and probably the next 30 years(!) outstanding quality, 94p
September 30, 2020 - A very interesting bottle of wine. At 50 plus years this still seemed to need time to open up after popping the cork. Super funky with a strong iron taste/smell upon popping. Continued to improve with funkiness blowing off and red fruit, pomegranate, and field herbs coming out. The last glass was definitely the best. Suprisingly, this seems like it would benefit from a slow-ox decant.
