January 19, 2023 - Last of 12, opened 90 minutes, perfect cork and level, way off stellar bottle in Oct 21, nose extremely attractive and nuanced but palate slightly edgy with odd mix of acid and underlying hint of caramelised fruit, sense of unbalance increased and last glass worse, downside now, drink up. F (17.5).

October 7, 2021 - 11th of 12, pnp, perfect cork and level, outstanding and little changed from bottle in 2016, maybe rounder, more velvety and layered, just shows how good these 96s can be when they have enough fruit to balance the acidities as here, no rush but no upside now. VF (18.5).....wonderfully partnered partridge!

May 11, 2021 - Pronounced nose intensity with notes of cooked red fruits, mushroom, toast. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin.

April 1, 2021 - Pronounce nose with notes of green bell, wet forest, jammy, kirsch. Pale garnet in colour. Medium+ acidity and medium tannin. Seem to be an out of condition bottle.

February 9, 2021 - Leather, camphor, forest floor, brown sugar, spice box, bouillon, marasca, pine tar. Medium bodied with medium acidity. Firm and a bit reserved in nature with lower-end power. Dry, slightly minty finish (91).

A bit of the sweetness that was missing emerges to make the wine more complete. I feel better about this wine going forward (92-93). Drink now to 2026?
