August 2, 2020 - I gave this a rating of 85 back on 9/6/15. I said then Reynvaan should not have sold this lot to the public. I second that on my 2 of 3 bottles. I've never scored this low but according to CT's rating scale, it is something to literally avoid. Doesn't have a speck of Cab taste to it whatsoever. As many have said, they need to stick to Rhone-style productions only.

May 23, 2020 - Dark crimson in color. 13.4% ABV. Savory nose of red fruits, leather and tobacco. Medium body with medium acidity. Clearly a Cabernet from a winery that specializes in Rhone varietals. Cherries, currants, olives and iron on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish with resolved tannins. The wine drinks really well but is far afield from WA Cabs from the likes of Quilceda Creek and Leonetti. Best over the next 2-4 years.

November 2, 2018 - It might just be me, but I think I'll leave Rhone variety specialists and vineyards to make Rhone-style wines. This Cabernet Sauvignon just isn't my cup of tea. While it had some nice fruit (think dark red cherry, pomegranate), there was that ever-present teriyaki-like savoriness that, frankly, I just don't find appealing in a Cab. I love and expect some in a Syrah, but not in a Cab. I'm not talking earthiness or leather; that is great in a Cab / Bordeaux-variety wine. This was something akin to soy/jerky/meat. I've found some of the same characteristics in the Bordeaux variety wines made under the Cayuse label as well.
