April 16, 2013 - Red licorice and oak, some herbal notes on the nose. Restrained fruit and tight tannins, good candidate for aging. 85% merlot, 15% cabernet sauvignon, 4% cabernet franc, 1% other.

April 16, 2013 - This needs some years of age before I would open another bottle. Some herbs on the nose. Palate suggests some fruit, but it is overwhelmed by bitter astringency at this stage.
