  September 9, 2023 - A fantastic dinner where we celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. The PC 2012 had a complexity that was fantastic with the food; grilled whole beef fillet of 1.7 kg, grilled on low heat to 53 °C. Lay on a tagliata, grilled whole corn, papfrika and lace dish and home-grown young roasted potatoes. Like all good Bdx, the wine grows during the evening, from a little shy at first to a fully developed ripe fruit. All the classic elements are in place, cassis, tobacco, licorice, lavender, cedar wood and above all fantastic minerality. What a long finish, unreal good, and then 2012 is a gap year, glad I have 2015, 2016, 2018 and 2019 waiting in the cellar!

But we expect more, given the pedigree of the stable. This first date with PC leaves me with a high degree of frustration because I know that this Grand Cru Classé has much more to deliver. Probably in a difficult stage right now. It's my fault, I should have been more patient. I'm not convinced that you have to uncork it these days. Nevertheless, if the desire is too strong, make sure you prepare the bottle many hours before the tasting.

  July 25, 2023 - What a remarkable wine! I enjoyed this the other day along with a dry-aged New York Strip. I've had this wine for several months and decided it was the right occasion.
  
  The aromas in this wine were so powerful the second the cork was pulled, showing so strong and robust. Aromas of black and red fruit, along with leathery hints. On the palate, it was silky smooth, showing ripe red fruits, smoke, and graphite. With a great finish to top it off. More age will do this wine well, but it is drinking wonderfully now.

  July 17, 2023 - Nemyslím si že by toto víno bolo extra veľké,skôr príjemné. Bohužiaľ čakal som viac v tejto cenovej hladine. Dekantácia 6 hodín. Červené a čierne ovocie, prach, zemina, stredné telo, záver stredne dlhý, ale žiadne extra veci pre mňa, skôr nuda. Dúfam, že ostatné ročníky čo mám , budú podstatne lepšie, hlavne nech tam nájdem niečo výnimočné. Tu to však nie je.

Decent tannins still, and a bit of cranberry, which opens up to cherry on the palate. Still quite primary, but more open than when I had this last a few years ago. Really nice, and enjoyable with or without food. Still has plenty of time, but a good vintage to drink a few over the next several years.
