May 4, 2014 - Wow, this is gamay? The inkiest, darkest, most intense gamay ever, and nothing like a Beaujolais. Would have easily mistaken this for a petite sirah or something more intense. Blackberry and vegetal notes. A fun and add wine. Recommended.

March 19, 2014 - Vibrant ruby-purple. Aromas of dark cherries, roses, violets and notes of dusty soil. On the palate, fine tannins provide solid structure with tart acid. The black cherry fruit is fresh and tangy, but this wine is all about the non-fruit flavors: earth, bell pepper, pickle and soy notes, bay leaf, minerals. Some meaty-savory notes come out over time. I think this could be cellared for three or four years, although it will likely get funkier and meatier with time. Very nerdy and delicious, but this ain’t Beaujolais.

March 11, 2014 - Even better on the second day for all that. More black fruit than red fruit of Beaujolais, zippy, crispy juicy, utterly enjoyable.

March 10, 2014 - "A problem child" or vineyard? We can't seem to find out. Dark colored and dark fruited gamay. Doesn't smell like gamay at all. And doesn't taste like it on the palate either. Soft on the mid palate. Shows great stuff on the back end. Tightness, structure. Man, this is killer.

December 15, 2013 - Seemed closed and reductive. Maybe an odd bottle.
