September 9, 2020 - Nose of ripe dark berries and a hint of flowers. The palate is rich and polished with loads of dark berries, raspberries, herbs and flowers. The tannins are so smooth. It definitely feels a little bigger than the 13% on the bottle but overall a nice right bank effort. It is modern but in the right way.

August 12, 2020 - Quite nice but not ready until I say so. Likely 10-25 years; please stand by for further instruction.

July 2, 2020 - Too young. Too extracted. Maybe will soften nicely with much more time.

May 31, 2020 - Slight better than the bottle I had 6 months ago but this is still hard, over-extracted Merlot with a touch of furniture polish oxidation to the nose. Poor QPR and hopefully one day the team their will get to grip with the terroir and allow a more natural expression of the wine. I think trying a bit to hard and forcing the wine to do something that isn’t there I the underlying material. Also a streak of unripeness and lack of selection showing through. I am rarely so harsh but this could be so much better. VCC in 2012 is off the charts good for example!

September 7, 2019 - Chateau Clinet Pomerol 2012: Young wine with hard tannins, austere and fruit in the backseat, bramble fruit, apparent wood, cigar box, mocca, green touch from the vintage, on the palate quite hard and wooden with little fruit, nice pencil graphite, needs loads of air. Maybe better on day 2. Yes it was... nose more inviting with the dark fruit and wood less dominating. I enjoyed it today. Still learning to drink merlot. 88/100
