November 30, 2019 - Kind of surprised with this one. Expected a big modern fruit bomb, but this had CF flavors dominating. Strong, tannic, almost some green flavors here. I think closed down. Will be much improved in 5 or 10 years. The dark cherry and plum flavors may not be locked in. It is a well made right bank for sure.

June 1, 2019 - Dinner at Crystal Jade. Dark purple. Smooth texture, unobtrusive tannins. Quite dense, lots of fleshy ripe fruits. Notes of mocha and cocoa. Not short of richness despite a difficult vintage. Prefer this to its illustrious Saint Emilion peer Figeac 2012 tasted recently, probably helped by the much higher proportion of merlot in the blend. Still young and should improve further with bottle age.

April 14, 2019 - Modern, with lots of fruit and depth. This wine is in need of time, time ,time....If you like fruit, then feel free to slaughter one. If you want bordeaux character, don't open for about 5 years or longer. Right now its showing ripe red plums, hints of licorice, violets, and charred wood. The very high acidity is an asset to keep this fresh for a long time and let the wood and all other goodies intergrade. I feel its best days are hidden in small bright lights ahead. HOLD

March 18, 2019 - Smoke, olives, herbs, flowers, red fruits and earthy scents are easy to locate. On the palate the wine shines with its fresh, ripe, vibrant, strict, fresh blast of ripe, sweet crisp red fruits. The wine exudes its unique combination of fruit, rocks, lift and purity. You are going to need at least a decade of cellaring for this wine before it starts showing its true character.

September 2, 2018 - Solid but a bit boring. The nose is still close as is the palate. Soft, round and enjoyable but nothing to get excited about. In the bigger picture, it was good but wanted more from this price point.
