    August 2, 2021 - Well, I don't what means Gjenkjøp means (pease see below): perhaps it means, drink up.

    This wine began like a bottle of plonc: something that you might want to pour over your fish and chips. But to its credit, it has developed over the past two hours, both in character and depth. And the tiny bit I have left in my glass seems to be getting better and better. You might say: "you are having too much of it". Possibly, but I don't think so.

    More likely, I have misunderstood this wine, and I am drinking it too young.

    April 18, 2020 - Mørk i glasset, god konsentrasjon. Smakt blindt. Bommet fullstendig :)
    The wine looks brick colored. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. It smells like blackberry and mineral. The body is medium/full. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity.
    Gjenkjøp: Absolutt!!

    February 25, 2017 - Bordeaux Reds (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): From a 20 ha vyd of clay & limestone soils growing 80% Merlot, 15% C.F., & 5% C.S. on vines ave 25 yrs of age; Aged 12 months partly in oak barrels (10% new);

    N: Closed; Some spice/earth/pyrazines?

    P: Med, poss LM, body; Almost swtish frt met by some astringent pucker which evolves into a Long, very slightly tangy, VERY slightly astringent finish. While this doesn't strike me as a long ager (it seems riper/more CA-like in style), it will likely improve with 12-18 mos of cellaring, then hold for several yrs more. 88+ pts John Gilman, 16.5/20 Jancis Robinson (Harding, 4/8/13), + other scores on wine-searcher's Tasting Notes pg. [As of early Mar '20, wine-searcher shows only 1.5L bottles as being available].

    July 16, 2016 - Is this the least enjoyable bottle of Bordeaux I've ever had? Quite possibly. Bland, insipid, thin and thoroughly unremarkable. No thanks.

    April 26, 2016 - K&L Bordeaux Tasting (Wine and Wall, SF): The fruit is indistinct and a bit dirty. A bit hot and just medium acid, medium tannins. Crude. I don’t know what the price point is, but it tastes like cheap Bordeaux (turns out it’s about $20… makes sense).

    January 17, 2016 - Importer tasting: In the bouquet red and dark forest fruits. On the palate creamy dark berries, a touch of sweetness, ok acidity and fairly round tannin. Overall an ok wine, but not really great. Try around 2019. The drinking window in CT now (until 2045) is quite ridiculous.

    October 3, 2015 - Very well balanced and integrated. No single note of fruit stands out for me. The closest I think of is herby. Well controlled tannings, just a slight lemony-like bite on my tongue. Medium finish.

    April 26, 2013 - Hints of fennel and black raspberry with a sweet and tart, red berry finish. More interesting on the nose than the palate. 84-86 Pts
