November 22, 2019 - Dark ruby hued with a nose of forest floor and cedar. It has a thick glycerol feel for a pinot noir. There is significant extraction without it being a fruit bomb. Tastes of red berries and smoke. Really nice length on the finish. This falls between the delicate and/or austere pinots of burgundy or Oregon, and the highly extracted style sometimes seen in California pinots. It challenged me because it didn’t fit my existing perceptions of pinot noir.

July 13, 2019 - A nose of dark cherry and spices, dark garnet in color. A full bodied single vineyard PN, with black cherry, blueberry, cola, with spice on finish. Not your petite Pinot, drink now. www.winelx.com

October 30, 2018 - PnP. This wine provided plenty of red fruit, some earth, a touch of smoke and spice, and enough acidity to balance. However, I'm not sold on its QPR at $39, even at a discount through WTSO. Should hold for a couple of years.

June 29, 2018 - I'm still not sold on Belle Glos. It's well made, and it has mellowed with age, but man oh man, there's an over-extracted syrupy quality to the stuff. I'm missing minerality and structure and depth. Maybe I should stop comparing it to Burgundy. #pretentiousIknow

April 27, 2018 - A transparent ruby wine with thin legs and a forward nose of rich berry and forest loam. Plush in the mouth with deep notes of strawberry, earth, and hints of meaty tones. The finish has good length with focused strawberry doing a slow fade.
