May 24, 2021 - Very, very good; interestingly I found it more enjoyable than the Amon-Ra I had before; more nuances, less forward, smoother; great balance.

January 25, 2019 - Certainly lost it's vibrancy of youth when overall it was probably better, but not without charms now.
Deep red that looks as muted as the nose smells.
Some more meaty notes have replaced some of the more obvious fruit. Spice and smooth fruit in the mouth - some fruitcake notes.
Still handles the alcohol well very little heat on the finish which is not very long.
Pleased this is the last bottle - kept 20 years partly due to intrigue and partly due to inefficiency - I'd forgotten it was there!

October 23, 2016 - Surprisingly was the best wine of the night - tasting with a 2003 Cote Rotie and 2001 Chateauneuf du Pape. Wonderful Barossa with great mouthfill and a long finish. Cellared well, and still going strong.

December 4, 2013 - Huge oak, concentrated, bit of barnyard, light on tannins. Still drinking well.

January 14, 2012 - Football and Wines from the 90s @ Mike J (Wilton, CT): Smokey, plumy, spicy. Resolved structure, but I wouldn't wait much longer on this.
