January 6, 2019 - This was a rockin bottle. Loved the intensity and integrity of the blend. Exceptionally well crafted. Long life ahead.

February 14, 2017 - Well, this was more impressive than the last bottle...and a real treat. The nose is full of black & blue fruits, cedar, and graphite. The palate is silky and smooth, the tannins are present, but well hidden under a layer of fruit(cassis, blackberries, blueberries), clove, and spice. This is worth every penny of the $70 I paid...but if there is a wide bottle variation like between the last one and this one...it's a toss-up as to the value of the wine. I'd buy another 3-4 bottles if they all would perform like this one at the $70 mark. The alcohol is in check, and not noticeable on the nose or the palate. As someone that leans more to France & Italy...this is a wine that's clearly Napa...but really REALLY nice. Outstanding!!!

January 4, 2017 - I found this at a wine store on DISCO and thought it might be worth the $70 to take a crack at it based on the reviews. I can see why folks that tend to lean towards New World wines might really find this wine attractive. It's quite silky, and there's some dark fruits on the palate and the nose...however, at this stage I'm noticing ALL of the 14.9% alcohol. It's there in every sniff of the glass and I can feel the warmth spreading throughout the finish as well. I think there's a chance that this could need some time to integrate still. However, for me...this is just not in my wheel house.
*Disclaimer* at a dinner that this wine was serve to 6 other people...everyone commented that they loved it. It was unanimously praised as an amazing wine.
