September 10, 2022 - Cellar stored since release. PNP, in proper goblets, funneling toward the rim to capture the singular bouquet. It’s personal preference, but with big Rhônes (or Brunello) in their prime, when you can spend time with one glass, smelling and tasting as it opens over two hours is much more fun than decant and wait. This is perfectly paired with a rosemary, cumin, and garlic crusted leg of lamb, with plenty of charred fatty edges on the meat, which tame the brambly tannins. The herb and game flavors mirror and bounce; a side of barley roasted with lamb stock, mushrooms, and carrots supported the black earth notes in the wine. Delicious and alive 24 hours later, there’s 10-15 years of great drinking ahead. Long finish of blackberry, currant , dark chocolate, and tangy iron shavings. Superb

June 27, 2022 - Medium garnet, very intense ink, licorice, black berry and cherry, slight spice and smoke, dry, medium high alchohl, medium high acidity, medium high smooth tannin, medium plus body, very long finish, outstanding wine!

December 28, 2021 - Just so consistently brillliant. Gorgeous plush dark perfectly balanced fruit with a saline tang. Beautiful. Good with no decant, opened up to be great after an hour or so. For my palette it’s at peak, but no rush. Medium bodied style, no blockbuster, this is about elegance.

August 29, 2021 - In a very good spot right now, no rush though as lots of stuffing. Two hour decant. Beautiful classic N Rhone Syrah, broad and satisfying with refined soft tannins. Lovely saline tang to add interest to the quite plush dark brambly notes. Lots of life left, no rush. Really came alive after two hours.
