July 9, 2019 - Polished, black fruit, vanilla, heavy style, too much actually, a real bomb. Figs, plums, and a lot of heat. Still, drinks smoothly. A travesty of Spanish wine.

July 4, 2019 - Powerful yet elegant Rioja, purple cherry, black currant, herbs, espresso, soft tannins, velvety medium to full body Tempranillo, pencil shaving, soft balsamic and vanilla note, nice complexity, superb long finish

October 25, 2018 - Cannot understand rest of comments here. This wine is simply quaffing wine. Thick fruit layered with 15% alcohol. No balance, finesse or complexity. Perhaps only saving grave is an interesting black fruit, inky nose.

September 15, 2018 - Great balanced powerful Rioja, purple cherries, leather, balsamic and vanilla notes, black currant, full body, smooth, dark chocolate, great long finish. Drink now up to 10 years.

August 27, 2016 - Opaque purple color turning violet at the rim with a reflective edge. The nose shows ripeness of fruit and high volatility amidst sharp earthiness and smoky notes. The palate is ripe, full-bodied with a fleshy but supple texture amidst vibrant acidity. Flavors of blackberry, cured meat, incense, and graphite form the core of this modern take on Rioja. Finishes long and attractively spicy with finely-grained, mineral-filled tannins. This is undeniably outstanding for a second label. Drink now until 2026.
