  January 5, 2019 - Slow-ox'ed for 4 hours and nursed throughout the evening. A somewhat vexing wine, as it displayed a varying diversity of flavor and structure aspects without ever settling into a signature profile. Most evident was a gaminess, along with strawberry and pepper notes, some astringency and a touch of jamminess. Don't see this improving further. Drink or hold 2-3 more years.

  August 3, 2016 - It took 4 hours to open up in the bottle. Floral with stems, flowers and tart fruit. A beautiful nose. However, the palate has high acidity but it lacked the precision in the fruit sweetness. The wine making style of Laurent gave more weight to the weak 2000 vintage. 90+

  October 24, 2012 - Otto - Pasta Charity Dinner: Really lovely complex aromatics here - strawberry, game, floral notes, light smoke and earth. Palate is bold but has detail as well, with both savoury red and deeply set black fruit elements. There is very good tannin structure and good length. Being a 2000 I had thought it may be near its peak, but I think this safely has another 5-6 years to get there.
