April 17, 2024 - From magnum. Decanted 2 hours. Lovely nose, secondary and tertiary. Dried red fruits, forest floor, earthy, cedar, saddle leather. Spice, pepper red fruits in the mouth. Ageing well, but magnum may have something to do with that as well. Lovely wine.

April 13, 2024 - Starting the dinner evening with a 2012, which is probably near the top. Do decant, as pleasure kicks in after two to three hours. Tuscan earthly cherries, somewhat restraint, but impeccable. A great wine in a great spot. Alcohol at 15% is there, but does not intrude. A real delight at 94 point cruising speed. (From magnum).
Add - later in the evening - a 2010 bottle to the discussion. Same storyline, but so much more body. 96 ? 97 ? So much body just leaping from the bottle in the first ten minutes, and continuing to run. 2012 is where it will end at 94 or so, with three plus years at this level.
2010 still is barely settling into maturity. Drink or keep, realize what treasure you hold. What an amazing wine.3 people found this helpful Comment -

December 30, 2023 - Deep red. Leather, tar, black fruit, dark cherry, red currant, lead pencil on the nose. Full body, with integrated tannins with a fresh acidity, which makes me think it can still age well. Medium+ to long finish. enjoyable now.
