Community Tasting Notes 3

June 13, 2014 - A hair less intense than the 10, but with gorgeous fruit purity, spot on ripeness and classic tartness. This is clean, no brett, slightly dusty and with electric red and purple cherry/berry fruit and a little bit of licorice. Huge fun to drink, great balance, and enough substance to suggest a few years of development.

February 16, 2014 - We liked this wine, surprisingly tart for a Barbera d'Alba. Tart cherry, similar to Sangiovese from Chianti. Very good QPR.

May 5, 2013 - Almost ruined by excessive new oak, it is still drinkable with tart spicy classic flavors under the layer of distracting oak? I won't say it is bad but I won't buy it.
