September 2, 2020 - A bit closed at first, but opens up after an hour or so. Electric acid, deep cherry fruit that saturated every corner of the mouth, which fans out into sous bois, medicinal herbs, and menthol at the edges. Tobacco, dried flowers and some still grippy tannins. Straddles the line between suave and rustic. Long finish for a humble CC. Drinking really well now but not in danger of declining in the next 5-7 years.

    July 10, 2020 - Deep ruby.
Dark fruits, plums/cherries, smoke on the nose.
    Quite acidic, medium length/finish.
I found this rather astringent and was disappointed after reading other reviews.

April 20, 2020 - My last review was too critical. While I continue to feel this wine is too tart for my liking, I can’t overlook the fundamental quality. This wine has sophisticated aromas of graphite, dried red cherries, prunes, and sweet tobacco. It is intensely tingly, and then tannic, on the palate. I suggest drinking this with a hunk of hard aged cheese. That’s where it would shine.

March 29, 2020 - Better than last year. Unfortunately my last bottle. Now more aromatic with saline and cherry notes. Tannins a bit softer, but still present. Acidity bracing at first but softens with air. Fantastic with a red based pasta sauce. Lovely mix of bitter cherry and chalk.

March 20, 2020 - P&P. Nice glass of chianti. Nice nose. Great sangiovese. Dark berries, blackberries. Some leather notes.
