October 1, 2019 - Fully developed, medium-bodied, bright and fresh, with a spicy nuance and a herbaceous streak that runs through the palate and nose of this crisp, slightly reticent red berry-filled wine.

August 17, 2019 - This is so elegant. Beautiful blackberry fruit, spices, cedar, tobacco. Very enjoyable wine. Plenty of time left.

July 26, 2019 - 2nd try: Nose of dark fruits, plums, earth, herbs, slight funk. Tasted dark fruits, earth, herbs, peppers, soil. Nice bitter finish. Taste profile is similar to the previous 1998 opened in June and similarly, tasted older than it should be. Not bad but feel this is slightly off its prime.

June 12, 2019 - Cassis, herbs, earthy aromas. Palate of dark fruits, mint leaves, cedar with a mineral aftertaste and lead pencil tertiaries. This bottle tonight seems to taste older than it is with its fruits somewhat receded, but the flavours came out better with some airing. Wasn’t memorable for me. Seems past its prime but maybe it’s just this bottle tonight.
