Community Tasting Notes 2

November 23, 2014 - Cooler climate style cab. Complex nose leads with black cherry fruit backed up by baking spice, tobacco leaf and toasted oak. Clearly a new world style but with a close kinship to Bordeaux. The palate confirms the nose with dark cherry and dark berry fruit, along with cinnamon, thyme and a touch of coconut. The tannins, though drying on the finish, are ripe. Medium plus finish. Alcohol listed at 14.9% but the wine isn't showing heat on the finish. Very good quality wine.

July 20, 2014 - Tasted (and purchased!) at the winery -- pepper, cloves, and medium tannins.
