December 27, 2020 - Light yellow. Piercing minerality and airy petrol with floral Riesling notes. Pure and detailed. Clean piercing acidity with bone dry acidity. Flowery flavors evolve to peaches. Refined and intense. A beautiful wine that is in a perfect spot; will hold 2-4 years but won't improve further.

October 24, 2019 - Well made wine with good balance between the residual sugar and acid. Stone fruit flavors but not much complexity to the flavors.

May 29, 2015 - Mouth-filling, almost meaty, dry, complex, full of character. This is what I expect from a Grand Cru Riesling. It is significantly better than the average non-Grand Cru Riesling and worth the higher price. Recommended.

The wine is tropical, almost pineapple, and then smoke and herbs and mineral. This is from the Bau-Rhine, which is a strikingly different terrior than the rest.

Despite the meagerness of the 2011 the is a certain opulence to these wines. And hey, the palate hold to the nose. Dry does mean dry, penetrating and really super powerful on the minerality.
