January 9, 2019 - Oxidized. Bummer.
February 10, 2017 - I don’t think this was nearly as good as when we had it with our friends. Maybe it was the lack of cheese, nuts, etc. to eat with it, but had more of an astringent aftertaste than I recall. Still solid and pleasant to drink, but not nearly as memorable.
January 14, 2017 - Medium to full-bodied (for a pinot), was bursting with gobs of sweet, dark cherries, some earthiness, with beautiful vanilla oak permeating throughout the long lasting finish. Was so delicious, we had to open a second one.
October 27, 2016 - Very fruit forward and list of vanilla notes. Paired well with a soft dish, but would have been just as delicious on its own.
December 15, 2015 - One of the best Carneros pinots I have tasted. Very intense.
August 13, 2015 - Very nice. Fruit nose, very full bodied. Hits my palate.
May 31, 2015 - Bill- "It's good."
April 2, 2015 - Black Cherry, boysenberry, good acidity sweet tannin, earthy, touch of pine, classic Carneros... Picked well before any 2011 weather issues (unlike cabs upvalley) this is a beautiful pinot with character.
June 12, 2014 - Garnet red. A substantial pinot noir that seems to need time in the bottle to settle a bit. Cola, dark fruits, and noticeable oak that should integrate. Quite fragrant with a floral quality to the nose that is appealing. Medium long finish. Should carry age well.
April 10, 2014 - Dark ruby color; lifted, black cherry, black raspberry nose; tight, black cherry, black raspberry, French oak palate; needs 4 years for oak integration; medium-plus finish
