August 7, 2014 - Really nice balance of apple and acid, which creates an initial sensation of sweetness followed by a citrus bite. There is also a hint of minerality and a pleasant mouthfeel, likely a consequence of fermentation in concrete eggs.

September 27, 2013 - Popped and poured, then finished the next night. Aroma of grapefruit and pineapple. Taste is consistent, too, and has a good level of acidity but not overwhelming.

The palate is full bodied, rich, textured, and rounded with distinctive lemon curd flavors and a pleasing zing of acidity that stitches it all together. 100% Pinot Gris. Red Hills Estate. Aged 11 months in concrete egg (61%), stainless steel barrels (27%), and 12% neutral oak. 13.5% alcohol. Sample provided by winery.
