October 28, 2023 - As soon as the bottle was popped, the aroma took me straight back to the tasting we had in the Calem cave in Porto last year. Served chilled, with charcuterie and cheese (and a British pork pie) this had the right balance of sweetness and acidity to complement everything on the plate.

July 10, 2022 - Served a little too warm than the lightlly chilled recommendation. Ruby with tawny highlights. The nose has cooked sultana, raisin and plum fruits like a Christmas pudding. The palate is sweet and raisiny with a bit of alcohol heat on the finish. Not the best 10 year old tawny but one of the cheaper ones. Not served at the best temperature, a little too warm.

April 21, 2022 - Rich and layered caramel and toffee top note over bitter almond and dried red berries. Precise, focused and long.

December 23, 2018 - Bottled 2017. Bottle is open for two days: cherry red colour, smells of marzipan, raisins and smoke, light body, not that sweet, in the mouth a little bit of marzipan, raisins and acidity, in the aftertaste raisins, a little bit of marzipan and acidity, medium length (20 sec), good Tawny, I like the Calem house style

October 28, 2016 - Pale ruby/brown in the glass, dried fruit flavors with caramel, notes of spice and wood. There was a bit of astringency that was off-putting. @DeltaOne

March 21, 2015 - Tawny is not, it must be said my favourite style of Port, but, of its genre, this as not at all shabby - all honey and smoothness, with a few nuts and a dash of dark marmalade - some stomach heat and quite a long finish.

November 26, 2014 - Good wine. Lacking serious concentration and complexity. Perhaps better than most other 10 year Tawny wines on the market.

March 3, 2012 - Tasted 3/3/2012. Retail: ~$30. I paid $10 at an online auction. I have not had a bunch of ports in my life. I guess I need to spend more time with Brian Freedman or Joe Roberts. While I found this pleasant enough, there certainly was little ‘wow’ factor. I was also rather hammered at this point, so I will refrain from rating this one.

July 15, 2010 - Overall, a nice Tawny with good flavours of dried fruits and nuts. I found that the complexity was a bit lacking, though I did try it at the same time as a few exceptional 20-year olds and a great Colheita. If you like your Tawny you'll enjoy this.
