January 2, 2014 - Floral aromatics lead to a rich palate of stone fruits with an underlying minerality that keeps everything in balance; I was very impressed at the complexity of this wine for such a reasonable price

September 23, 2013 - Scent is very pronounced, cheese and some reduction. There is some structure, nice texture, and good acidity. Lots of layers of flavors with key lime, pear, quince. Glycerine finish. (14% alcohol)

May 30, 2013 - Very aromatic, floral, orange blossom, melon, cantaloup, ripe stone fruits, fumey-perfumey, salty caramel aspect in there; rich, fairly dense, long finish with some tannins. Complex pretty amazing white. 20% skin contact, large barrels, gravel-limestone soils, 40-50 y.o. vines.

May 11, 2013 - Slightly paler than in previous vintages, but still quite richly golden. Interesting notes of toasted almonds, coconut oil and fresh peach rising up. Unctuous but at the same time taut and well-defined, focused and precise - quite a surprise for a wine with a tendency in previous years to be flabby and sweet. The fruit at its heart is generous and multi-layered - apricots, lychees and apples - but it's well wrapped in a tightly wound acidity, and a finish that's full of energy and vitality, peppery and savoury. A very very good wine - perhaps flawed (uneven, unpredictable) but bursting with character, varietal typicity and local distinctiveness.
