May 16, 2015 - Purplish ruby in color. Quite assertive on the nose, with fruit aromas of black cherry, currant, and plum, as well as some smoke, fresh tobacco, pepper, a bit of oak, and a distinct meaty character suggestive of raw steak and blood. Very masculine and substantial smelling. With air, a spicy floral quality comes out as well. Packs a whollop of flavor on the palate, with intense, ripe, but dry cherry and currant fruit, a good dusting of spice, and that same savory, meaty characteristic from the nose. Very hearty. But it's only medium bodied and not overbearing, with a surprisingly supple structure. The tannins are plenty prominent but very fine-grained, and all is in balance. The finish is dry and firm, with good intensity and length.

I disagree with most of the reviews here. This is very good Bordeaux and very impressive wine for just over $20. Bravo.

April 6, 2015 - Dégusté aux Fougères à Chelsea. Assez simple, belle rondeur et bel équilibre. Cassis, mûre, cerise, tabac, note herbacée.

November 10, 2014 - British Airways - Business & Lounges; 11/10/2014-11/15/2014 (Sydney, London): Very light-bodied claret. Good deep colour, but it flatters to deceive. The flavours are thin stalky cherries, with soft but gritty tannins. There’s a green touch too. Reckon this was cropped pretty highly. In BA’s Singapore lounge, and served a bit warm too, which hasn’t helped the cause.

A laisser vieillir encore 3 ans ...
