December 23, 2021 - Still incredibly primary and feral, but begins to open up with several hours in the decanter. Intense, deep, pure, powerful with mineral dark fruits. Decades and decades of future here. Cellared since original release.

December 6, 2021 - Intronizzation Night for Rhone (Lafayette): A favorite of mine and I'm not usually a fan of young wines but there is something about what he does with these that are really compelling and you can see why he is the king of St Joseph. Floral (mostly lavender) and graphite and just oh so expressive and fresh. Many years left and if we had a bottle I'd be holding it but it's certainly enjoyable to drink now too.

November 20, 2021 - Flawed. Too acidic to swallow.

Bottle stood up for a couple weeks. Double decanted and while pouring the first half poured clear and then I saw a cloud coming so ran the entire second half of bottle through a coffee filter which was covered in muddy sediment (and I discarded the last 1-2 ounces of wine outright!). Feels like this bottle was in a sediment shedding phase that I unfortunately disturbed!

    TN to come...

October 28, 2021 - Wonderfully pure but very youthful with rich black raspberry fruit balanced by crisp acids. Becomes quite floral and lifted with notes of violet spice and smoky asphalt. Deep and powerful and in need of further aging. At Craft, NYC. 93+

June 9, 2021 - Reluctant to give this a score as I'd had several glasses of wine by the time I drank it, but this was really delicious -- and came after a lineup of very heavy hitters (DRC, Dujac, Rayas Fonsalette, etc)
