June 28, 2017 - Gorgeous nose (A-). Somewhat thin, but very good palate (B+).
January 7, 2017 - Super funky; not quite classic cork taint and I suspected it was just a ton of brett. Quite a lot of leather and smoke. The core of fruit was difficult to fully appreciate. If there are clean bottles, they could merit a much higher score.
November 21, 2015 - The cork came out well with care and was 80% saturated on the sides. The color is pure light garnet, brick edges almost clear. The nose is subtle, a little bit of life left but well past the prime of what this was. The mouthfeel is nice but the complexity and fruit is not there anymore but for a sliver. Very short finish. Mature and drinkable but not impressive.
August 13, 2014 - Looks really fresh in the glass with a deep colour that shows a tiny amount of bricking around the rim. It smells of freshly polished boots, tar, cedar, violets and tobacco. It has good depth in the mouth and is quite savoury. There’s still some graphite like tannins on the fresh punchy finish.
March 9, 2014 - fully mature bordeaux, but starting to lose some fruit. Still very pleasant, but not what it was.
June 24, 2013 - still quite a vibrant crimson with only slight "bricking" at the edges and with the most wonderful margaux bouquet - it is subtle and lacks a little in length (as a wine more than 30 years old is allowed to be) but just so delicious: excellent!
