    September 14, 2023 - nose - hints of surmaturite
mouth - on the burly side; heavier than expected, this must be its grand cru quality shining through; the corollary however, is that its not ready for drinking yet. a muscular wine. hold

October 9, 2021 - This was a *lot* more earthy and structured than I anticipated. Aromatics are muted, flavors are plummy and earthy. More De Vogüé than Mugnier for sure. Let’s call it closed.

November 5, 2017 - Beauty to the red fruit...nicely perfumed nose followed by lithe cherry/raspberry fruit profile that may belie some real power. Minerality and then a tannic spine towards the finish that needs to be resolved.

February 26, 2015 - Ruby to edge. Spice. Great weight. silky. Earth. Great balance. Long.

December 12, 2013 - Tasted from barrel at the Domaine. I instantly fell in love with this wine which was wonderfully complex and attractive - a step or two above Les Charmes. There was an excellent purity to the fruit, which offered small red berries, cherries, floral characters and some earthy minerality. The texture was really something else, somehow lithe, elegant and feminine, yet possessing great depth of flavour. There is perfect balance already with lovely integrated acidity and fine velvety tannins which herald a long finish. This wine will have a great life ahead of it.
