December 6, 2019 - Developed a tannic strength. Bramble and dark fruit and a long, right finish. Opens up in the glass after quite some time.

August 27, 2019 - maybe a bad batch, didn't like my last bottle much either. I enjoyed the 2011...

May 27, 2019 - "horse fart through hay" (not my words), on the nose, vanilla on the tongue.

January 20, 2018 - Here is an example of how wrong I can be. In July of 2016 I wrote:

"88. Beautiful dark color, explosive Syrah nose, this wine's initial great impression was not sustained. A delicious wine with good structure and mid-weight mouthfeel, it nevertheless lacks aromatic and flavor complexity, and has fairly agressive tannins. Here we have an unusual combination from a region known for wines that deliver immediate drinking pleasure: a rather inexpensive wine that shouldn't be opened for 5-6 years after harvest! At $10 this has an excellent QPR."

This week I had another, and was very disappointed. Disjointed, rustic, simple and short, with an odd vegetal flavor, slightly sour. It did get better after day 1 and 2, but still not enough. Barely drinkable.

March 25, 2017 - This was very nice right upon opening. Mineral and dark fruit with a nice fragrance. I've had it for a while and wish I had bought a few more bottles.
