May 2, 2020 - Bold, very fruit-forward Grenache, with good complexity. Acidity isn't real high, so I'd recommend drinking sooner rather than later before acidity drops more.
August 25, 2019 - Unchanged from my previous note, though given the abv seems like it could get flabby if not consumed in the short term.
February 20, 2017 - Opened for two hours before consuming. Light in color. Very pleasant taste. Friends tasting blind were guessing it was a Pinot, but could not associate the taste with a Pinot and did not guess Grenache.
September 5, 2016 - Raspberry and red cherry fruit with a solid core of earth, pepper, and spice. Great acidity and long finish, fairly intense for a predominantly Grenache based wine.
February 5, 2016 - Popped and poured, drank over 2 nights. This is in a really good spot. Red fruit on the palate, but also has some black tea notes. A really savory wine that makes you think.
January 21, 2016 - Popped and poured, consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, red fruit - cherry and raspberry, with licorice and brushy undertones. Palate: Medium-full bodied, bright red fruit attack, black pepper and spice attack, great mid-palate persistence, super balanced - very clean transition from attack through the mid-palate to the back-end, though the fruit does fade a bit through the back-end. Finish: Lengthy sense of licorice, pepper, brush and subtle red fruit.
October 23, 2015 - Very good.
October 12, 2015 - Brought to a friend's house and it was a pop and pour. Quite a bit of acidity noticed. Spice and fruit on the nose with a hand full of dirt. Wine is smooth on the finish. Needs more air.
July 27, 2015 - Nice aromas. A little high alcohol tang. A little light on flavor. Smooth finish.
June 8, 2015 - Decanted for 2 hours. The nose on this wine was really nice. Lots of spice and red fruit coming through. Unfortunately the finish didn't match up to the great nose. The finish wasn't bad, just not reflective of the great nose. I would suggest that this wine just needs a splash decant as the finish seemed to deteriorate as time out of the bottle went on. I don't think that I am going to hold this wine for the long term. Will prob drink over the next 2-3 years.
