    September 23, 2023 - First bottle in three years. This has opened a bit but is still young with years ahead. Rapier acidity, very mineral with flavors of lime, kumquat and white flowers. It has a dense seam of orange peel in the middle. This is rich and not at all lean. Just young. I am drinking it on its own but it would probably be better with food.

    June 7, 2023 - Nez iodé, des notes de lime.
    Un vin jeune qui n’a pas encore atteint sa maturité. Très sec et minéral, un style austère, avec une finale crayeuse et saline, longue mais encore un peu dure. Très typé Monts Damnés, on suce les cailloux, mais il est un peu janséniste en l’état. Une bonne complexité commence à émerger après deux heures. Beau potentiel, à revoir dans 3-5 ans. 91+ pts

    April 22, 2023 - Not sure about this particular bottle. I think it's just a dud. Thought maybe it was just odd on opening, but never really sung. Overly aged and honeyed. Flat, and flawed. Will try another soonish for peace of mind!

    October 22, 2022 - Very nice. Proving once again that F Cotât makes top notch wine. Great on the table with fish with lots of herbs and vegetables

    March 6, 2022 - Sans note;
    Excellent, nez discret au départ, principalement sur des notes de citrons & de pierre concassé. Léger aspect de melon miel en arrière plan.
    Bouche droite, bien balancé, principalement sur des notes citronnées & impression de pierre mouillée forte. Splendide!

    September 7, 2021 - Decanted 30 minutes. Pale. Green tints. Expressive nose of characteristic sauvignon blanc aromas but what distinguishes this is that there is real complexity here. Layers of green and yellow fruit.On the palate you sense the acid but it is well integrated into the fruit, which is ripe but only just. Mineral. Fresh. Quite lightweight. Long - with hints of grapefruit lingering on the finish. Lovely. My experience with Francois Cotat leads me to believe this will continue to get more interesting - so I would keep this a few more years. So rare to drink Sauvignon blanc of this quality.

    April 10, 2021 - Light lemon. Gentle aromas of undergrowth, herbs, carpet cleaner and some ammonia (old barrels?). As the wine opens, there is more lemon verbena with light white fruits and a touch of hazelnut.
    The entry is all lemons with a pleasant edgy, almost salted lemon acidity yet with some almond paste suggesting some evolution. The mid-palate is more steely with a mineral texture and medium finish.
    Quite a challenging wine? Seems a little light weight?

    February 8, 2021 - Mûr mais sans lourdeur, avec une belle longueur! Agréable maintenant mais zéro stress pour vieillir admirablement bien pour plusieurs années.

    December 13, 2020 - Même dynamique que les bouteilles précédentes mais moins convaincant. Tres bon quand même.

    November 18, 2020 - I did not give this the benefit of decanting, which it surely deserves. We just moved to a new house and the chaos of dining off of a fold up table with fold up chairs has led me to cut corners. That said, the wine seems very young. Slight grassiness with gooseberry give the Sauvignon Blanc away upfront more than with other vintages I have had, but this may settle down with more time in bottle. I would keep this longer, at least a couple years. I think it has a solid base and good acid which portend well for the future.
