March 1, 2015 - Alt-Paulée at Bouley: A bit scary at first, as the smells were very funky, kind of like rotting seaweed. Reduction? Whatever it was, it took less than 10 minutes and then showed a lovely nose of stone inflected with an incense-like sandalwood aroma. Direct and focused flavors that are harmonious and intense, and with a long pungent and complex finish. Wonderful wine.

March 1, 2015 - Beautiful showing. Lively, sleek, great mineral streaks. Note of mint on the nose. Depth and length to the mouth. Exciting from this top premier cru, and from the hands of the old Ramonet in one of his last vintages. Alas, the last bottle.

December 10, 2014 - Light in colour with a lovely lemon hue. Gentle with a core of hazelnuts, lemon oil, wood smoke. Fills the mouth, glorious; oily, spicy, citrus, nutty. Wonderful. Real composure, elegance, terroir.

November 11, 2010 - Was able to push the cork in with my thumb so half expected this to be oxidized. But the color looked very good and this turned out to be an extremely fresh and delicious bottle. Still lots of fruit balanced by ample acidity. Very nice wine.

August 3, 2008 - Paulee de Hersh - Round 3. (Casa Hersh): Great nose. Ramonet mint. Chet liked its sophistication.
