August 21, 2023 - Delicious, if mild and tame -- no sense of oak or friction, probably as good as it gets.

March 31, 2023 - Hosted a 2012-15 vertical of the Rock Cairn Vineyard. Opened this up afterwards and is drinking as well if not better than most of the RC’s

November 12, 2022 - Rich cab, had earned complexity through age. Decant at least one hour.

September 10, 2021 - Enjoyed one of these last night. Decanted for an hour. Wine is drinking beautifully and I expect it has at least another 5 years of life (although no real reason to wait). Drank it next to a 2005 Bordeaux and the contrast was notable (More fruit and less complexity), but still a really enjoyable wine.

July 10, 2021 - A darker side of cab, but well balanced. Dark, dark fruit, but midweight - not jammy, nicely toned.

April 4, 2020 - This seems to be in its prime right now. It opened considerably after 1-2 hr after decanting. The fruit is intense with blue and red flavors--cherry predominated early, followed by currant and blueberry. There are also distinct notes of spice. It is quite complex and evolves through the finish. It is just what one hopes for from a Rutherford.
