September 11, 2022 - 200 Burgundy Grand Crus from vintage 2000, 4-day blind tasting (Singapore): Holy cow! As good as it gets not even a shadow of a doubt already from the nose. Match stick, beguiling aromas of pop corn, crisp lemon, gun powder, buttery yet crisp. All the glory, bakery, light and powerful, stunning. Simply a perfect white wine, whatever this is, I love it, I wrote down. Coche did it again. Coche and Leroy are the best wine makers in Burg for each color. Period!

January 26, 2021 - this wine is a wow. feels like it's in a perfect spot, it's stunning with its aromas and flavors...full on Coche profile, intensity, and delicacy. in a great lineup this was probably WOTN. most burgs today are wines i love but won't rebuy at current prices, this is one i'd have to at least ponder, even if i know i wouldn't. thanks to Chris for incredible generosity on this one.

December 1, 2018 - Ken's 60th Birthday (Smyth - Chicago, IL): Side-by-side with the '03. Towering nose that is so stuffed yet generous and delineated. The palate is similarly loaded with concentrated flinty fruit. At once chewy yet still graceful with crazy length. All that it's cracked up to be.

December 1, 2018 - Ken's 60th Birthday (Smyth and The Loyalist - Chicago IL): Served alongside the 2003. There is so much here. Lemon peel, ripe pear, almond butter, savory spice and so much more kept coming and going over the 30 minutes in glass. Dense and almost meaty with a powerful, minerally finish. So complex with near perfect balance. Almost everybody's WOTN in a night of great wines.

December 1, 2018 - Wow aromas, Pure minerality of wet stones, lemons rind, and delicate almond. Rich focused and dense fruit. An amazing wine with perfect balance and pitch. Focused and simply stunning. Begs contemplation. You can’t understand this until you try it. Words Arsenal simply no good here. Truly nectar of the gods. Not for humans.
