April 25, 2018 - Good structure and complexity for dolcetto but also very young and primary. There’s a massive backbone of tannin and acidity that walls off the finish - this is somehow nowhere near ready to drink.

February 21, 2016 - Best bottle yet, previous ones having seemed less ready. Still worth decanting. Cherry and mint gave a sense of freshness but then behind all that a tarry backbone gave structure. Similarly, the texture was light but had grip. Aromatically lifted, including a smell of tomato skin. Masculine, compared to a delicate and feminine bottle of 2012 Cappellano Dolcetto d'Alba back in November.

February 7, 2016 - Tasting pour from a Coravined bottle. Very aromatic, candy apple, spice and cinnamon on the nose and cherries dominate the mid palate. Good acidity, fresh and lively.

December 27, 2015 - Just a wonderful dolcetto that is perfectly balanced. Wonderful fruit and a good acidity and perect with food.
