April 15, 2023 - A beautiful wine. Aromas of dark chocolate, blackberry, and sandlewoo spice. A seamless creamy nearly lush texture with rich mouth filling black cherry fruits. Long bright finish

April 8, 2023 - This is the deal of its class. A beautiful Cal Cult without the concentrated appearance of its peers, yet with just as much guts and stamina. Really nice throbbing long finish that carries on and on....This is a winner that breaks the association of appearance to intensity. Drink

December 31, 2022 - Note sure how to score. First night opened and let sit in glass for an hour, and was great. Round, full of flavor and tannins in line. Drinking perfect. Stored under pump and finished third night. Not the same wine. Pruny. Bad on me, I think.

April 10, 2022 - Good but not great. Ultimately a little too extracted and the fruit overly candied. This is a fruit bomb. I would suggest waiting for another decade to see if the fruit recedes with age.

March 10, 2022 - I love Colgin and this was showing beautifully. Shared at a USA v France 'judgement of Paris' dinner with six people with all wines served blind. Was tasted alongside Lafite 96, Margeaux 96, Haut-Brion 95, Ridge Monte Bello 03 and Aranjo - and came out as the deserved winner of the group. As ever with Colgin you get intensely powerful aromas that fill the glass. In that sense I always find this like a fine Burgundy where there is such pleasure in the nose alone. On the palate this is no monster and tannins well integrated to reveal layers of blue and back fruit, clove and cassis. Superb
