December 13, 2023 - Lacks delineation of recent vintages. Fine not great.

June 1, 2023 - Tasted next to an 88 Dujac Clos de la Roche. Hard to imagine a much better burgundy. Juicy fruit gum, red fruited with rhubarb showing the warmth of the vintage, faint tannins remain offering just a hint of pushback. Fresh acidity remains. This needed 90 minutes of air to peak.

January 13, 2023 - From magnum. Intact but without the structure of better vintage Roumier BM. Largely undistinguished, even in this format.

June 10, 2022 - Pinot Blind: Well, when you walk into the a tasting and you get a blind pour of an older burg and it turn out to be a Roumier, you say Thank You! I got the last pour, some sediment may have dulled the nose a bit. But it was one of those wines the more time you spent with it, the deeper it became. But this was a rather subtle elegant wine. Seemingly fully mature to maybe slightly past peak, with complex ethereal fruit, seamless from start to finish. Lacks a little punch and complexity on the finish but the nose really makes up the difference. Great experience

June 10, 2022 - Easily the best burg I’ve had this year. Cinnamon stick, with warmed fruit tones, well integrated with oiled leather and a bit of rhubarb confit hanging around. Softened and delicious.

September 25, 2020 - Served blind. Heavenly dry rose petal aromas, incredibly alluring. Tannins fully resolved, elegance personified with a loooooooooong finish. It’s a cliche but this really is the iron fist in velvet glove. I have been priveleged to drink a number of Roumier wines over the years, and I cannot recall anything better. One of the best wines I have had this year.

March 6, 2019 - The 89 showed well. I've had this three times in the past couple of years, and it's a decent if not inspiring vintage.

April 23, 2017 - A WHOLE lot of funk was going on here. Many of the notes mirror what this bottle showed. A beast of tertiary, barnyard aromas. Interesting, good, but not Roumier Bonnes Mares typicity. I've not had the 89 before so no previous tastings to contrast it to.

December 29, 2016 - Good wine, but aromatically a bit tertiary and bestial. More musk and earth than fruit. Palate was different story, very pure and on point. Beautiful tart cherries.
