December 25, 2019 - Astounding wine, without doubt one of the finest Rieslings I have ever had. This wine, AP #16, is the auction lange Goldkapsel, as confirmed by Mosel Fine Wines. Overt on the nose with just a touch of petrol and botrytis, but the palate remains strikingly clear and fresh. Sweet on immediate entry, then the acid starts rushing through, with a near-dry finish on a bed of rock solid slate. The absolute essence of the Juffer-Sonnenuhr. Has a long life ahead.
