July 6, 2016 - Randoms at Flatiron (Flatiron, SF): Medium-minus ruby with magenta at the rim. Ripe red cherry, faint carbonic, faint reductive black pepper, faint sweet vanilla (small % new oak).
medium body, high acid, med plus papery tnanins! med plus finish! a bit tart at the end. moderate alcohol (13%)

July 4, 2016 - Decanted 30 mins. Drinking quite well. Moderate rich red fruit, earth, a bit of acid crunch, well balanced tannin. Fruit is settled--not bright but not cooked or stewed--closer to fresh preserves in richness, in good harmony with the earth/mineral backdrop.

May 15, 2016 - This showed more advanced than previous bottles - certainly older tasting than five years from vintage. But, it was in a really good spot with some charming earthy flavors in a light, focused package.

April 25, 2016 - Again, light and acidic. Leaving overnight allowed this to fill out a bit. Really nice core of earthy fruit. Not quite as good as this producer's 2011 Julienas, but close.

March 4, 2016 - Wooow what a wine and this could probadly benefit from further bottle age.
