Community Tasting Notes 5

    August 8, 2021 - A light bodied Haut- Medoc , with civilized alcohol ( 13%)
On nose: forest floor, brick dust and smoke.
On palate: follow through of above flavours , with sinewy cassis and hazlenut skin notes.....a lean, tensile dinner wine with well balanced oak , light tannins and clean acidity in balance......good food wine with the backbone to age 5 or 6 more years....good hot weather red, for those not keen on Rose.

April 30, 2019 - The last of this wine, one of our everyday clarets.
Very good quality and typicality in a medium bodied frame.
Drinking well now and with the structure, as mentioned in an earlier note, for 10-12yrs evolution from vintage - if not perhaps improvement. I will never find out!

April 3, 2018 - Very good value classic claret (bonus point). Cedary, precise blackcurrant and plum fruit with (integrated) firm tannic backbone. Decent grip and medium bodied dry finish. Perfect mid-week dinner wine.
For drinking, say, up to 12yrs from vintage.

April 15, 2016 - Consistent with previous note. Picked up some hazelnut on the nose as well. Good+

March 30, 2016 - If only all medocs were this well made, and reasonably priced! This offers classic bordeaux with purity of fruit, integrated, moderate oak, med+ acidity and smooth but present tannins packed in a medium bodied wine. Classic claret, none of that new-world-overoaked-overripe-power-style. 90 (the last point it gets for its price) Drink now-2024
