February 23, 2020 - Brooding, bloody, menacing, a feudal lord's castle keep of a wine. Impossible to ignore and 'just drink'; this demands to be the centerpiece of a meal, preferably one with peppery roast meat, nice and rare.

October 3, 2018 - This feels like an entire magnum of wine was somehow, crammed into a single bottle. Inky in color, this is so dense, it fills your mouth, coats your palate, staining your teeth and palate with a massive wall of fruit, tannin and crushed stones. There is a fabulous purity to the fruit and a lushness to the texture that lets you know, this wine means business. 2-3 decades are needed for this to really come around. But it will get there. However, unless you're young, you might be laying this down for your kids.

February 28, 2018 - As I have stated many times, syrah is not my grape. However, this was a very nice wine, and for those who like this grape, this is of course a great wine. With typical syrah notes, if not as pronounced as the Guigal La Mouline I had a couple of days ago.

March 23, 2017 - Deep ruby red. Fantastic aromas of bblood, dark cherries, black olivesb and black pepper.full bodied, velvety tannins, sweet dark cherries, combined with smashing acidty. A slightly bitter oak tone emerges on the finish. Long, very long. A general favorite in a tasting encompassing the three la-la-las from Guigal.

October 15, 2016 - Triple decanted over the last 24h. Now it's wonderfully drinkable, very tannic of course, brimming with potential. A perfect wine in the making. For now 98++
