Community Tasting Notes 10

September 11, 2017 - What a roller coaster this wine has been - final bottle. Nose of strawberry, overripe plum, overripe cherry, supple oak, rose and Pledge. Palate similar invoking savoury notes including coffee bean, licqourice and dark fruits. Slightly harsh but a good showing, one of the better ones.

September 2, 2017 - Now past its drinking window. What you expect from a red (cherry, plum, oak etc.) but just dies in the mouth.

June 30, 2017 - Consistent with previous notes but this was a much better bottle. Juicier, layered and complex.

Time left in my remaining bottles but not a long time - say another 2 years.

April 15, 2017 - Light ruby - hardly any sign of age. Nose of cigar box, cassis, ripe plum, white pepper, cranberry, prune. Palate similar introducing spice, floral elements, inky. Supple and smooth - tannins present.

Lacking a bit of texture. Either this is in decline, the bottle or just the varietal.

January 9, 2016 - A beautiful drop. Dark cherry, black plum, white pepper, spice (nutmeg), berries, herbs (Rosemary, oregano) and chocolate, liquorice. A beautiful and unusual blend which has present tannins and juicy fruit.
