  December 25, 2016 - A Provençal red, the 2012 Château de Roquefort Gréle No. 2 reveals black olive tapenade, Garrigue, black licorice, fresh potting soil. smoky black tea and pen ink as it slowly unspools. Round in the mouth and expressive, though not as full bodied or as intense as some of its Southern Rhône cousins. There is wonderful energy here—ultra fine tannins, black tea, and earthy, slightly rustic undertones. 13.5% ABV

  March 2, 2014 - Ruby red with violet rim. Strawberry jam. Light body and medium freshness. Ok finish. On the fruity and light side. Mix of different grapes i guess.exiting and unique wine but not sensational.

  December 4, 2013 - Bought this in a Boston wine store intrigued both by the recommendation from the store and the story of how 35 Provençal and Rhone growers supplied grapes to Chateau de Roquefort when the latter's crop was wiped out by hail. Dark ruby. Stewed strawberries & plums with a hint of chocolate. Medium- body, light tannins & medium acidity. Fruity, lacking complexity but full of fun like a good Côtes Du Rhône.
