January 6, 2019 - Its color is youthful and shows no signs of age. In the nose, this is very slatey, reminds me of Faugères, it displays dark fruit (blackberry), some game and it's really concise and pure in a dense and not very airy way. In the mouth, it's a lot lighter than the nose would suggest with structure and minerality in the foreground, again a very pure blackberry fruit (almost like eating just ripe blackberries), fairly low acidity, suave tannins and a long, fruity finish. A top notch wine that is easy to drink, but sufficiently complex at the same time so that it does not appear bland or showy.
