October 2, 2020 - Threw off a ton of sediment, and decanted for a number of hours. Tasted after about 1 hr, good. 3 hr really good, 5 hours started to put on a nice weight and mellowed the bell pepper to let the balance shine. Deep red fruit with a layer of good acidity. A touch of cigar and minerality. Definitely ready to drink, but needs some air.

July 14, 2017 - Characterized by ripe (but not overripe) cassis fruit and slight mineral and bell pepper notes that add complexity, this outperformed the '05 Bryant poured before this. Solidly good but not great, if I had bought this I would have queried whether this would be worth the cost, though there is upside potential here.

August 22, 2015 - A good Cabernet, ripe with brioche and sour cherry aromas, then new-oak aromas of vanilla and leather. Tanzer finds more subtle nuances here than me, and I tried hard, but while the wine is very well made, I felt that it lacks complexity. Certainly, over-hyped. Further, for me, it comes off as a bit muddled in the mid-palate. I would say that this bottle is very overpriced for what it delivers.

February 28, 2015 - opened and left in the bottle for 4 hours then decanted for another 2 hours. The wine was great, usually would say way to young but when its this good i would say open and enjoy.Good fruit no heat and standard Colgin long finish. Glad i have more. Will try again in a year or so.

September 9, 2013 - Deep in color, the wine pops with blackberry, blue fruit, cinnamon, vanilla, cherry liqueur, licorice and charcoal. The wine is thick, rich, concentrated and intense, with soft, dusty tannins. On the palate, this dense wine ends with cassis and cranberry. From 94% Cabernet Sauvignon, the remainder of the blend consists of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. In fact, the 2010 Tychson Hill is the first vintage to include fruit from the recently planted Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot vines.
