February 26, 2023 - Drinking well, still with alot of life
August 12, 2018 - A little better than an earlier bottle or two, but, to me, this one seems to be in decline. I know those two comments are in a bit of a conflict. I had a drink window ending this year for this wine, and this is my last bottle. I believe that judgment is still correct with zero chance of getting better from here and a good chance of going over the hill.
July 29, 2018 - Tad flabby, not 'up to snuff'. Final pour came off as sweet.
December 15, 2017 - Decanted 3 hours. Nose of cherry and dried rose petals. Cranberry and cherry with glycerin cinnamon finish. Great mouthfeel and length
November 27, 2017 - Cherry, tobacco, tea on the nose. Cherry, dried cranberries, with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Would be a perfect Thanksgiving Turkey dinner wine. Really really delicious.
September 2, 2017 - Ripe grape, cherry and warm spices plus a thick/viscous mouthfeel make it great with just a tad of distraction from some forward alcohol. This Martinelli Pinot has aged quite well, where many don't. Very nice with grilled salmon and feta/spinach sausage.
November 24, 2016 - Outstanding!! Shared with family for Thanksgiving dinner. Three bottles consumed and everyone loved it.
March 25, 2016 - Love it -- always a fan! Definitely not Burgundian, this is straight outta California, but in a good way. Try it !!
December 1, 2015 - Currently one of my favorite Martinelli Pinots. Cherry and, well, grape with good balance and body.
June 20, 2014 - Fantastic all around, great example of the super-charged Cali Pinot. Rich, ripe, elegant, great aromas and spices. A slight amount of heat throws off the balance some, but not distractingly so.
