April 13, 2024 - I was slightly worried, given the producer and vintage, this might be getting “long in the tooth”. Even more worried when the cork broke and the remainder disintegrated, causing me to pour the wine through a strainer. In spite of my concerns, this wine is still drinking great, but at maturity. As expected, lots of cooked, but still juicy red fruits, dried tobacco, mocha, mint, and green “earth tones” which provide some interest. Structure is completely integrated, but there’s plenty left to support a medium finish. Enjoyed with a grilled ribeye, asparagus, and mushrooms. Recommend drinking by 2025; I suspect this might fade quickly.
June 9, 2023 - Lots of green pepper aromas out of the glass. Flavors of green pepper and menthol. Completely different than an earlier tasting. Not my favorite as I have an aversion to green pepper. Withholding rating although my score would be closer to 87/88. Keep in mind, the green will eventually subside. Give it more time in the bottle. There's everything there for a great wine.

May 14, 2022 - Probably time to think about drinking these if you’re still holding them. Good balance right now, but acidity seems to be fading. Drink by 2024.
December 31, 2021 - 30 minute decant. Deep ruby-purple in colour. Nose of blueberries, cherries, blackberries with a hint of cassis and a very slight hint of green bell peppers. Blackberries with a touch of black cherries with some cassis and dark tobacco on the palate. Medium bodied with a medium finish. Last tasted 2018.
April 14, 2021 - Drinking beautifully - full bodied, silky to the mouth and soft tastes of fruit. Aging nicely and still years left.
March 13, 2019 - Dark ruby with translucent edges. Medium to full bodied with light tannins. Drinking great at the moment. Dark fruit flavors with a hint of menthol on the finish and eucalyptus on the nose. Nicely structred.
September 10, 2018 - One hour decant. Medium-deep ruby in colour. Nose of sweet and earthy red berry cola with some hints of spicy blueberries and a slight hint of chewing tobacco. On the palate there are black currants and dark cherry flavours with some dark tobacco profile as well; slight hint of espresso with a touch of vanilla and a tad hot on the entry. Medium bodied with a medium finish. Good to drink after the decant time.
February 22, 2018 - Every now and then I am pleasantly surprised by a wine. Ruby red, with cranberry on the nose but not the palate. Red raspberry on the palate and here the Cab Franc really shines through! Deliciously long finish with mellow tannins. I cannot wait to drink the other three in the cellar!
October 19, 2017 - Not much on the nose but fruit stands out and tannins are well integrated.
