August 14, 2022 - i have not posted in the last few weeks as I was at my nephew's house on the Cote d'Azur. All the wines they drink are either rose or white wines from the region and that is where I learned the expression "nothing to write home about" and definitely nothing to post. Being home last night I opened a bottle of the Forman and let it sit for three hours. Put the cork back in and took to my club for dinner. This is a beautiful wine - the nose is all fruit and a hint of mocha in the background. The palate is all fruit as well with a tinge of raspberry on the lush smooth finish. I have one bottle left and I will hold on to it until the holiday season.

May 26, 2022 - This is excellent and especially for the vintage. Forman not typically lush in general and certainly not in 2011 but will good air the wine opens up and shows good fruit, modest tannin and slight herbal qualities that I enjoy. Not sure all will love this wine, but drinks well and in balance with food. Very nice

November 14, 2021 - While I’m sure this wonderful cab will continue to age well in the bottle, I would discourage my wine enthusiast friends to buy into the notion that this will fare better years from now than now. Opened my one bottle up this evening and it was superb. Smooth, medium weight, not the least bit tannic, easily one of the best Napa cabs I’ve enjoyed in awhile.
The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The body is medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long.

December 5, 2020 - Rich nose. Eucalyptus, menthol, a little licorice and a hint of oak. Well balanced palate. Berry fruit. Light tannin on the finish but balanced. Very enjoyable.

May 26, 2019 - This continues to be a very well executed old world style classic cab from Napa. Super rough vintage, but this really performs well. Classic Bordeaux nose with leather, eucalyptus, menthol, dank earth, spice box and tobacco. Fairly light weight but totally seamless at this stage, it is aging about as well as any 2011 I've had. Tannins are integrated and graceful while the fruit has mostly given way to secondary and tertiary flavors. Shows a ton of earthy and mineral driven qualities while the finish is quite long and impressive. Everything here is in balance and it will probably last another 10-15 years, but I'm not sure it will improve. Only thing really holding this back is the vintage.

February 28, 2019 - No detailed notes. Red berries on the nose. On the palate, red berry fruit with notes of cocoa and savory spice, with light tannins and good acidity on the medium to long finish. Although this shows the lightness of the vintage, it's restrained and elegant rather than weak and unintegrated. This is a good value at about $70.

October 20, 2018 - Beautiful cabernet with sweet dark fruit, spice and cassis. Tannins are well integrated in this well balanced and structured cab. A highlight for 2011 vintage.
